Prayer Walk

The Prayer Walk Team is planning to touch every home in Murphysboro with prayer. They have been walking and praying on Tuesday mornings. They have stopped and prayed at approximately 3000 individual homes for 125 city blocks but still have many, many more homes in need of prayer. A Prayer Walk Morning is being planned on Saturday, April 21st (weather permitting). If you would like to pray for the families of our community, please be at the church at 9:00 am. Let the light of Christ shine through you as you walk and pray in Murphysboro. If you have questions, please contact Steve Wilkerson or Ron McLaughlin.

FBC Legacy Breakfast

Join us in a “conversation” about the future and “Legacy” of FBC on Saturday, April 28th, at 9:00 am in the FBC Fellowship Hall. Joseph Huse, a Development Consultant with the American Baptist Foundation, will be a guest speaker. Please RSVP by April 18 at 687-1769.

National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 3rd and a service will be held at the Davis-McCann Center from 12pm – 1pm. Lunch will be provided.

Graduation Sunday

A special time during the morning worship service on Sunday, May 6th will be dedicated to our church family graduates.
Middle school, high school, college and military graduates who are an active part of our church will be honored for their academic accomplishments. We would hate to forget someone, so if you know of a middle school, high school, college or military graduate that is active in our church family and should be recognized, please contact Angie Robinson at 567-9328. We would like to honor each high school and college student by telling a little bit about the school activities and/or awards they may have received.

Intervarsity Dinners

FBC will be preparing a meal for the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at SIU Carbondale on the last Friday of each month. If you would like to help, please contact Rachel Edgar at 201-0698 or Kristy Dunning at 534-3054.

Volunteers Needed

The food pantry is in need of volunteers to do the many tasks that need to be done. Just two or three hours, one day a week would be helpful. Your time and generosity will be a blessing as well as a wonderful gift to someone less fortunate.

Youth and Kids Summer Camp

It’s almost that time of year again! The FBC Kids and Crossfire groups will be going to Crossings Summer Camps again. Crossfire will be there from June 16th to the 21st, and FBC Kids will be there from July 29th to August 1st.
