Ladies’ Exercise Class

Calling all ladies! There is a Senior’s Ladies Exercise class on Monday and Wednesday mornings starting at 10:00 am in the children’s department of the Education Building. The class focuses on balance and stretching exercises. If you have questions or would like more details, please contact Judy Rawls.

Dumpling Fundraiser

The dumpling fundraiser will be held on Sunday, October 21st from 11:30am to 1:00pm. It’s said that chicken and dumplings soothe the soul…a true comfort food and Baptists are known for making some of the best. Everyone is invited to chow down on FBC’s finest. You get to enjoy a little piece of heaven and it’s all you can eat. Make a donation…any donation, whatever you think they are worth. They are the best! And your donation will help send someone on the Summer Mission Trip. Be generous because the dumplings will have all the trimmings. Show some of that Baptist hospitality and invite your family, friends and neighbors.

Parenting Conference

FBC will be hosting a parenting conference on October 26th and 27th featuring Roger and Wendy Palmer. IF you are unable to make it on Friday night, please still come on Saturday.

Friday, October 26th:
6:30pm – “Confessing We’re Not Perfect”
Saturday, October 27th:
9:30am – Coffee and Donuts
10:00am – “We Have Powerful Influence”
1:00pm – “Invest Deeply in Our Family

Volunteers Needed

The food pantry is in need of volunteers to do the many tasks that need to be done. Just two or three hours, one day a week would be helpful. Your time and generosity will be a blessing as well as a wonderful gift to someone less fortunate. FBC Murphy is working at the food pantry weekly. If you are interested in helping, contact Megan Austin at 618-684-8258.

Intervarsity Dinners

FBC will be preparing a meal for the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at SIU Carbondale on the last Friday of each month. If you would like to help, please contact Rachel Edgar at 201-0698 or Kristy Dunning at 534-3054.

It all starts with FBC Kids and Crossfire at 3:30 pm. All children from Kindergarten – 5th grade are welcome to be a part of the FBC Kids Club from 3:30-6:00 pm, which offers snacks, homework, Bible stories and dinner. The Family Dinner starts at 5:00 pm with dinner for everyone. Family Dinners take a break during the summer. Crossfire High School Youth and Bible Study with Pastor both start at 6:00 pm.
