Anniversary Video

The Anniversary Team is seeking old FBC photographs, videos, and any items that are from FBC’s past. Sunday School, VBS, Ladies Circles, awards, class promotion items, baptism pictures, etc.–items that reflect our church’s past events and brings back memories of days gone by. Please bring your items to the church office–they will be marked, copied when possible, and then returned. 

Laser Tag Lock-In

CrossFire Youth is taking a trip to the Edge in Belleville IL for a fun-filled of laser-tag, fun, and fellowship. Admission is $20, contact Pastor Jake for more information.

Carnival Worker’s Luncheon 

There will be a Carnival Worker’s Luncheon meeting next Sunday, August 25th, immediately following the worship service at approximately 11:15 am in the church parlor. If you would like to help with the luncheon on Tuesday, September 10th, please plan to attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting but want to help, please contact DeAnn Stilley or Pastor Jake.

150th Anniversary

Save these dates…October 19th-20th. FBC is celebrating its 150th Anniversary with a spirit filled weekend of worship and great fellowship. On Saturday, October 19th, the church will open at 3:00 pm with a historical display of memorabilia, old photos and a video presentation of the FBC history. A fellowship dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. Starting at 7:00 pm, Kateena LeForge will provide gospel filled entertainment with hymns and contemporary worship music. Thus far, FBC has received confirmation that Rev. Jeff Gordon and Rev. Steve Pate will be here for the evening’s events and Sunday morning worship service. It will be a weekend of amazing praise and worship, special entertainment, former pastors, out of town guests, new and old friends, looking back and looking to the future. Mark your calendars and invite your friends, family, and neighbors.

Wednesday Night Activities

It all starts with FBC Kids and Crossfire at 3:30 pm. All children from Kindergarten – 5th grade are welcome to be a part of the FBC Kids Club from 3:30-6:00 pm, which offers snacks, homework, Bible stories and dinner. Transportation is provided from the two Murphysboro grade schools by contacting the school and Barb Troutman. Crossfire Middle School Youth is from 3:30-5:30 pm. The Family Dinner starts at 5:00 pm with dinner for everyone. Family Dinners take a break during the summer. Crossfire High School Youth and Bible Study with Pastor both start at 6:00 pm. Choir rehearsal begins at 7:15. Invite your family friends and neighbors! There is something for all ages here at FBC on Wednesday nights.
